Boombridge Road

2.75 miles   3.3 mph

this post harkens back to the beginning of the walking posts, when they were actual WALKING posts. i haven’t been out anywhere near enough this month because of the snow and ice and cold (i know, i’m a wimp). but something (the fact that my pants are getting too tight) told me i needed to get out and walk more, so when the dh suggested we go for a walk, i succumbed. he’s a cyclist, and the roads are just too nasty for the road bike, and the woods are too icy and nasty for the mountain bike, so he’s reduced to road walking, too. we picked a local road that ends in a closed bridge, so the traffic was nonexistent.

the cows at the farm we passed were singularly unimpressed with our exertions.

and yes, did this the same day as the browning farm hike. and even between the two, it was shorter than my preference. but you take what you can get in february in new england.
