Central Arcadia Loop

this was a surprisingly well-attended pchc hike taking in parts of other trails including mt. tom, shelter, and john hudson to make a loop. we had absolutely gorgeous weather. october of 2015 is going down as a glorious month on the trail.
look up!
you have to remember to look up once in a while.
mount tom trail
i have not added this hike to the hikefinder, but i may in the future—i just have to make a map. we started at appie crossing, then crossed 165 to go up the john b. hudson trail to the shelter trail. from there we took deion trail to old ten rod road, to re-cross 165 to the check station, and then mount tom back to our cars. i recommend you grab a copy of the great swamp press map of arcadia if you want to recreate this hike.
