usual suspects hike. it was a perfectly lovely day to be in the woods, and this property is always pretty. good day.
baby milk snake
this little buy blended in so well with the surrounding rock that i missed him. one of my hiking companions/suspects pointed him out to me. he was pretty small… maybe 10-12″ long at most.
sheep laurel, Kalmia angustifolia
and i had to dangle out over the brook to get this shot. it was somewhat precarious, but as close as i could get.
