lovely day with my usual suspect friends on this audubon society preserve. we usually hike on wednesday mornings, and since i’ve been working i miss their company.
there were large swathes of blueberry foliage turning red.
and in another spot, there was an entire hillside covered with hay-scented fern turning gold. this is a great time of year to be in the woods in new england.
