same kind of hike as the last one, as in moderate elevation changes; from maybe 150 feet to almost 500 feet and back. this was kind of a scruffy little state forest with a nice up and down loop and some decent views at the top and very well-marked trails. once again, i had originally planned to walk a figure-8 through here, but the ups and downs got to me and i walked about a mile less. still a good workout, though. i also added a bit more weight to shirley. she’s up to 20 pounds now.

this was the high spot on the hike, almost 500 feet elevation. the sun came out just after i took this shot and it became a glorious day.
i don’t know exactly what this shrub is, but it’s sooo close to busting out into leaf! such a welcome sight after such a long winter.
and there were a couple of these signs posted. it’s 3-sided, all the same. i have no idea what it’s trying to tell me. i’m probably not the target audience.
i have posted this hike in the hikefinder.
