another master gardener friends hike. fantastic property, very varied and beautiful. we saw a magnificent old magnolia tree (flowering!) and some lilacs (not flowering yet) by the cellar hole of what must have been the farmhouse, an ancient-looking apple orchard, some old mill sites, fields, and lots of piney woods. but we had to pick up the pace towards the end to beat the rain, and after the last 2 day’s hikes, it kind of kicked my butt. fun day though!

another great day in the woods. we were lucky to escape the rain. i see you need about 7 more miles to go to the 200 mile mark by the 31st. if i know you, you will do it.
