Tillinghast Pond

this was a providence county hiking club hike that almost got off on the wrong foot. we were supposed to meet at the “hell’s gate” trailhead on plain meetinghouse road. at the last minute, the hike leader let us know that the address was (natch) 666 plain meetinghouse road. unfortunately, the rest of the group’s gps devices put 666 plain meetinghouse road at a different trailhead, the one near rattlesnake ledges on wickaboxet. finally someone thought to text the leader, and we discovered our (devices’) mistake.
that snafu untangled, the rest of the hike was, well, uneventful if hot and humid. i have totally had enough of hot and humid.
