Walkabout Trail, Middle Loop

4.7 miles   2.2 mph

this was a fairly easy trail with an interesting history… it was cut and named by australian sailors in 1965 while their ship, the perth, was in dry dock in newport. very boggy and wet in places. nice views of the ponds in washington management area.

sign for the trail. yes, there are six toes on that foot. the aussies are a strange people.

as you can see, it was a very wet trail in places.
